Plasma TV's give off less heat and use less power than they ever have. Such reductions in power usage have been raethr vast, especially over the last 4 years. Panasonic Neoplasmas now use 70%, yes 70% less power than they did 4 years ago. This means reductions in the amount of heat displaced from current being applied to the phosphor cells in the plasma panel. You will never get a panel not to omit some residual heat due to the nature of the technology.
