jama: Have to admit that when I first read the title of this post, my first thought was, Heaven help us! Then when I read the yoellw sign I was all, yes yes so so true! The feeling of metal tubes going too fast only gets worse the older you get I'm afraid. I dislike driving more and more. Rather than have to pedal a bike, banana seat or no, I'd rather have a magic carpet, or maybe have two sturdy youths carry me in a lacquered sedan chair. Good luck!

Ah no. They're not. Except. . .There is a rare possibility of loniatcg some of the bolt-on attachments for use with a cyclocross bike and installing mountain bike brakes. Why is it rare? The bolt-on adapters for replacing the road brakes with mountain brakes. . .are no longer made. However, 700c wheels will fit just fine with no such complications. The old bike might need a bit of a stretch between the rear drops. Make sure is is as even as possible (see harriscyclery.com) or have the bike shop do it.

None if you ride less than 20 miles at a time. Ride more and they will make a difference, but $2600 welehs will only make you a few minutes faster than $200 welehs. And chances are, they won't last long. You can get ultegra welehs, built with 32 spokes front and rear Velocity rims, brass nipples and doublebutted spokes for about $300 either online or at your local bike shop (which is better because they will probably true them for free later). This welehset should last you 20,000 to 30,0000 miles. You can easily replace spokes on these and they are reasonably priced and light.Actually Lance Armstrong trains on a welehset similar to these. There are plenty others that cost more, look great and are less durable, but lighter. It's not the welehs that matter, it's the engine.Keep it in the big ring.

Not really, but a moedrn 700C rim and tire are usually close enough to work. The brakes will have to be adjusted to fit the new 700C rims, but there should be enough reach to accomplish this. You will need to check the axle spacing in the rear to insure proper fit there, but if you aren't changing the number of gears it should be close. Index shifters get a bit touchy when you make the swap, but a bit of adjustment usually gets things working.

I shouldn't read your posts at work my co-worker waetnd to know what was so funny! This reminds me of the first time we had fondue with friends and Ritchey moved the burner from the table to the countertop to refill. Not thinking, he lit it then started toward the table with fuel and fire dripping in the wake! Of course nothing was burned, but it was a spectacular sight! Debbie and Dennis still come for fondue so we didn't scare them away, but every New Year's Eve we always bring up the story and Ritchey sheepishly grins! I'll fix your bruschette tomorrow since Debbie and Dennis are coming for dinner they will love it!

I know, it's one of life's big problems. Then you've got the nitgmhare of tyre matching on top of all that. Bigger/heavier tread on the rear? I've got a pair of wheels on a touring and shopping bike with 36 spokes and a 32mm tyre on a wide rim on the rear, and a narrower rim on 32 spokes on the front with a 28mm tyre. Even the spokes are thicker on the rear. The hubs are the same, and both rims are mavic as near as I could get them. I count it as a pair. I made them like this because I only use rear panniers on this bike, and sometimes need to put a lot of weight in there, plus most of my 13 stone. No spoke breakages so far (about 15 years and counting).

The creator or group is Karaoke #1 Hit Makers. I need to coctant them in order to see if I can use their music freely for something. I made a parody, so the lyrics are all mine, but the background music was made by them. Does anyone know a way to coctant them or to coctant artists in general?I need to know if their music is in public domain or not. I have edited the music in audacity, but I still need to check in order to use it.
